Formulating for 3D Printing (SLA)

RJ Viereckl, RAHN USA Corp.

Abstract:Basic formulating principles and guidelines concerning UV curable 3D printing using stereolithography (SLA) type equipment will be presented. The discussion will include topics such as which products not to use in this type of additive manufacturing and formulating pitfalls to be avoided. Products which work well to promote cure response and print details will be reviewed. In addition, the presentation will discuss the work that RAHN has done to design 3D printable formula and how the raw material components intrinsic properties can affect the mechanical properties of the 3D printed object.
